This is a user-serviceable battery pack. There are 6 screws on the battery case (the longer case with the blue stripe). You have to take the case apart to get to the two batteries inside. If you cant take it apart, or dont want to, you can send it to us for repair. You would be responsible for shipping charges both directions.

You can dispose of any batteries at any RBRC affiliated store. The RBRC (Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation) has members in every major city in the United States. There is no charge to drop your batteries off there. Home Depot and Radio Shack are two of its predominant members.
